Visitors: CRAFTernoon Tea

This Sunday was the second of a monthly event I started at my place called CRAFTernoon Tea (I'm still really proud of myself for coming up with the name...). It's basically an afternoon of tea, tasty goodies, good friends, and making crafts. This week's project was string Easter eggs, in preparation for the holiday next Sunday.

I love hosting tea because it's a great opportunity to see friends and share all sorts of fun projects with each other. Another perk: the dogs get to practice having visitors over and work on their hosting manners! I have very understanding friends.  :)

Since they tend to fight for attention when guests are over, we usually separate the boys when someone first arrives. This gives Bruce a chance to work on not jumping up while Alfred works on not barking from the kitchen. It didn't take long for Bruce to settle in on the couch, and Alfred eventually found a comfy spot on his blanket while we worked away.

After all the excitement of crafting and visitors, everyone was ready for a good, long nap.  Here, Alfred shows off the final product (it even matches his Sirius Republic collar!):

voilà!
Hope you all had a great weekend!

  1. This is so awesome! I have a friend who would totally love doing something like this with me...maybe I'll have to start a KC edition of CRAFTernoon Tea!

  3. Can I borrow your friends? We had some friends over on Saturday night, and while we had fun, the dogs had to be crated the whole time. (But they didn't whine or anything!)
