April Showers

Ever since the start of April, things have been getting very busy around here! I feel like we're being showered with great opportunities at every turn, but trying our best to keep ourselves above water in the process. M and I just got back from a family trip to St. Louis where we got to play with our adorable baby niece and nephew.

And the boys are zonked from a weekend vacation to Kritter Kare...

...which leaves me with a few quiet moments to work on some exciting new prospects (announcement to come!) and finish working on an event for the choir that M and I run in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. And guess what? You're all invited!

My other non-dog related passion is making music, particularly singing in a choir. We usually put on three free concerts throughout the year, but this spring we are having our first fundraising event where the audience gets to choose the music instead of the other way around. We really love being able to perform free of charge, and hopefully this event will help us get ahead so that we can continue to do just that. Just like spending time with the pups, I think that making music and sharing it with the community can have terrific healing effects on the people involved. The event looks really cool in my head, but now there are only two weeks left to make sure it comes out right in real life!  Which, unfortunately, means less time for blog posts. :(

Be sure to check out our Facebook page the next couple weeks and I'll do my best to post pictures about Bruce and Alfred's ventures back into training class, and other exciting new projects in the works!
